New York, New York — Number 2 UK Basketball beat Number 12 Kansas in New York City Tuesday 75-65 in The Champions Classic. The Wildcats and Jayhawks were tied at 28 at the break. But UK pulled away in the middle of the second half. The decisive stretch saw Doron Lamb hit 3 straight 3-pointers for Kentucky. Lamb finished with 17 points. Terrence Jones had 15 points for Kentucky.The Wildcats are number 1 in the sport with 2054 all-time wins. 15 ahead of Kansas, which is second.Kentucky (2-0) now has 2 neutral site games this weekend starting Saturday against Penn State. Then either South Florida or Old Dominion on Sunday.
